A management opportunity exists with an established team and biotech company.  This position will manage a team of Managed Care MSLs who are focused on working with payers to provide medical information to assist in the decision to cover a product.

My client is well established and growing at a manageable pace.  They have several products on the market now with a significant pipeline.  They cover a number of therapeutic areas and this position will mainly focus on their oncology products. This position will report into a Vice-President who has a hands-off management approach and is looking for someone to provide leadership to the team and expertise with other groups in the company such as Medical Affairs, Managed Markets and Health Economics.

This role is a high visibility position within the company and they would rely on you to provide the expertise needed for their growth.

This position is field based and can be located anywhere in the United States with 50-60% estimated travel.

Responsibilities:

We’ll ask you to take ownership of the duties that will include:

• Experience with Commercial and Government Payers and Specialty Pharmacies

• Oncology experience is highly desired

• Great management skills with an executive presence

• Experience working with Medical Directors on health policy

• Work collaboratively with other departments within the company.

Qualifications:

• M.D., PharmD or PhD degree is required

• 5-10 years in the biotech industry focused on working with payers

• 3-5 years managing a team

• Oncology experience is preferred
