A leading biotechnology company on the East Coast is expanding and looking for talent to develop their payer strategy for their orphan drug which is currently on the market.
This position is meant to incorporate market access, reimbursement, pricing, distribution and health economics into a payer strategy to gain coverage policies. You would work closely with all key management and in particular the National Accounts team.
This position isn’t a role where you would be meeting with payers to gain coverage but rather developing the overall strategy for the payer team to execute. The background their looking for is someone who has experience developing payer strategies for specialty products.

Responsibilities:
- Incorporating all aspects of the product to develop a strategy to ultimately gain coverage policies from the payers.
- You will be working with vendors to develop evidence to support positive coverage decisions in the areas of health economics and outcomes research.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
- 5-10 years of market access or reimbursement experience with Part B products.
- Masters or above degree would be preferred.
- Experience developing the payer strategy for specialty drugs.
- Experience in pricing and distribution
- Excellent communication skills
