Director-Contracting and Pricing expansion position

A nearly $1,000,000,000 biotech company is growing rapidly and they are creating a Director of Pricing and Contracting position.  This position would not be inheriting any legacies and you would have the opportunity to create the department from scratch.

My client is a mid-sized high growth company focused on drug development and commercialization for products in a number of therapeutic areas.  The company has no debt, cash on hand and is in great financial condition. We have a product for a condition that more or less had to go untreated.  This position is critical for their success and is highly visible to the top leadership in the company.

Responsibilities:

We’ll ask you to take ownership of the duties that will include

• Creating the Contracting and Pricing function for the company.
• Responsibility for government reporting
• Provide input and technical expertise on the impact of pricing changes
• Lead customer contracting
• Develop and lead the pricing committee

Qualifications:

• An entrepreneurial attitude
• Start-up experience preferred
• Bachelors in Finance or Accounting preferred
• 5 years of experience in the pricing or contracting arena
